A solution with business component project, Custom windows control, and windows application. When attempting to edit the main form (e.g. add a button, then change its text property in the designer), the IDE pauses a moment then disappears with no warning or exception messages.

Restarting the designer does not load the previous solution (does if solution closed normally), and no changes have been saved.

Editing the forms designer code file (which you are suggested NOT to do) creates the controls on the form OK.

Project builds with no error or warnings.

Project also sometines falls over (abrupt exit again) when run in debug mode, but seems stable if run in release mode.

Cause :-

Didn't like the call to InitiazeObject in the constructor of a custom component changed to base of Treeview. I've had to create a Windows User Control instead.
