2005Beta2 cant launch Office project

When I try to open a new excel or word document as part of an Office automation application I get an error saying I need Office 2003 with sp1. I have SP1 and downloaded and installed all of the latest office updates. Still no deal

Hi Ibrahim,

Is this occurring on a computer where you have Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office installed or is this happening on a client computer where you are attempting to open a VSTO 2005 solution?

Also, does the computer have Office 2003 Professional installed?

VSTO 2005 is only supported on Office 2003 Professional , Excel 2003 standalone, and Word 2003 standalone.

It's a VSTO Solution I am trying to open. The machine has MS Office 2003 Professional SP1 installed.

Can you tell me some more information about your system. Are you using a version of Windows/Office/VS other than en-us? Are you unable to create a new VB/C# Word and Excel project?

I have the same problem. Using Office 2003 sp1 and trying to create outlook addin and all office templates error with "Office 2003 sp1 required". I have Access 2000 SR-1 installed.

Is there an order of install required. Office SP1, VS2005, Office addin? I installed Office SP1 last.
