Fail setup Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2

Hello,

I want to be a part of the experiance of Visual Basic 2005.
When i start the setup from my DvD he start to copy files to the system and checks something.
After that he responds with the error: A failled installation has been detected. Press Ok to uninstall the product. Then retry the installation.

Ok, so far i deleted the following components marked with **:

  1. MSDN Product Documentation
  2. Microsoft Visual Studio Tools for Office System 2005 Runtime Beta 2
  3. Microsoft Device Emulator 1.0 Beta 2
  4. Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 2.0 Beta 2 **
  5. Microsoft SQL Mobile 2005 Development Tools
  6. Microsoft Visual J# Redistributable Package 2.0 Beta 2 **
  7. Microsoft Visual J# Language Package 2.0 Beta 2
  8. MSXML 6.0 Parser and SDK **
  9. Microsoft Data Access Components 2.8 SP1 (Windows 2000 only)

Hi,
did you have any previous betas installed of .net framework than beta 2? If you did the only thing (in my experience) you can do is to reinstall your os to get VS 2005Beta 2 work.

Thanks for responding.
No i never installed an other version of Visual Studio.
Only the windows update versions from the internet.

What i now dicoverd this evening was that vb.net 2003 does not work also not anymore, while i tried to make a new project. He stops the project.ini and start vb.net again with a error reporting to microsoft.

I suggest you uninstall VS2005 using our improved guidance and tools here:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/support/uninstall/

Then I suggest installing the final release of VS 2005.
