Create Snippet

Is it no longer possible to highlight a section of VB code, right-click and choose Create Snippet from the context menu to launch the Snippet Editor?

That's correct, the snippet editor was removed from the product shortly after Beta 1. With the help of some of our MVPs we've created a stand alone code snippet editor that is available as a free download (with source). Check out http://msdn.microsoft.com/vbasic/downloads/2005/tools/snippeteditor/ for more details.

I downloaded the snippet editor, but it won't work with my vs 2005 beta

It is because my .net framework is version 2 Beta

When i run the snippet editor, it says it only works with version 2.0.50727

If I install that version of the .net framework the vb 2005 beta no longer functions correctly. Of course my code snippet works then, but not much use without my vs 2005 beta.

This had me up half of the night last night, as i had to do lengthy un-installs and re-installs to figure out the problem and get my vs 2005 beta working correctly again.
