Re-Distribution of emulator

Hi,

I have just downloaded the new version of the PPC emulator and have to say I am pretty impressed.

We have a software package that runs on CE based devices and we would like to use the emulator as a form of PC Data Entry. What are the implications of doing this? Could we distribute the emulator with our app and let our customers us it?

At this point, the emulator is not redistributable. However, a stand-alone version of the emulator is available for download on Microsoft Betaplace. (The guest id is MSDEVICE in caps.) You can have your customers download the emulator and provide them with a save-state image that they can use to acheive the results that you are looking for.

We will be working on making sure that the emulator is redistributable in future releases.
