No it is still in Beta (Beta 2). The final version will be probably be released sometime in or after September/October.

Hi,

Additionally here is a list of ASP.NET hosting providers that are providing ASP.NET Beta 2 since the Beta 2 comes with a Go Live! License:

Also, Microsoft blogs seem to indicate that Beta 2 is mostly feature-frozen (both Whidbey and Framework), so the final edition should only differ in terms of bugfixes and better documentation.

In that case they had better use the label "Release Candidate" instead of "Beta 2"

I’m going to the MS convention in Oslo August 30: “MSDN Live: Visual Studio 2005”. I hope all tools will be in final version then…

Release Candidate is normally only used for versions that are feature-complete and debugged and fully documented...

...well, except for that crazy "Beta Release Candidate" that MS recently invented for Avalon.

Hi Morten,

August 30th should be very near to the release but the final version will still not be out. Currently the release is set for sometime in Sept-Oct timeframe.
