What about adding attachment

Hi there,
Sometimes it could be very complicated to explain a problem and a user of the site even willing to help may be put off by some long messages.

I think that sometimes adding an attachment (EG a small project) obviosly with an upload limit would extremely helpful.

Or sometimes you could have a section called "Templates" etc or FAQ where a user could actually upload/download some code.
Thanks a lot for this fantastic site.
I am very impressed with the response .I got an answer for every question i have posted.Fantastic.

Howver i still dont manage to get an email alerting me even though i check the checkbox "alert.I must be doing something wrong somewhere.

Again Thanks

Thanks a lot. Glad to hear you've been getting answers to your questions. Due to the concerns with virus scanning and quarentine, we don't currently offer support for attachments. We are investigating it.

As for notifications, check out http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=9363 there are steps for troubleshooting Alerts. Let me know if you try those and still can't get it to work.

Lisa,
Can I second the motion for including attachments? I think these forums are great EXCEPT for the fact that they don't allow attachments. For that one reason alone I would prefer to use traditional newsgroups however it seems the community are going to come here so I'm not going to have any choice.
