Microsoft reporting Services Support & Changes
Hi We are planning to install the Reporting Services, but have been given a very negative feedback by some companies which planned to move to this.
The type of uncertainities that are coming through are:
1)product may either undergo a signifcant change
2) lose supportCan anyone help me with these questions, as i myself believe that it is hard to imagine such a big change.

What information did those companies base their opinions on? It sounds very subjective to me. The ease of report design/deployment, and flexibility is enough for the two companies I do independant contracting for to proceed full steam with this.

They were not willing to give any concrete answers, but asked us to investiagate more into Microsoft's decisions on changing the product and Support.
Does anyone think that such a big change is possible?

As part of the development team, I can assure you that we are moving forward with Reporting Services, as evidenced by our SQL 2005 release. While competitors might like to think otherwise, RS has a bright future.
