This is probably due to Application Tier failure to authenticate with the SQL on the Data Tier machine.
The system error also indicates that there is some user authentiation or DNS problem. Check your user account authentication.

Keren,
Can you give me some more pointers on what to try?
I run this all on a single server setup (AT&DT on one box) I run the tool on this machine. I am logged on as TFSSetup (domain admin)
I ran the tool at least 5 times without problems and from one moment to the other I get this message. I restarted the machine, no luck. I can access all webservi9ces fine.
I also took a look at the reader role on the cube and both TFSSetup and TFSService are there. I don't se any SQL logon failures in the eventlog either.

Do you have a specifiv test I coult try to verify if this is the problem and work from there to solve this?
Thanks

Hi Keren,
First i thank you for your reply. I have forget to write before, i am working with single server installation. But i am also using two account (TFSSETUP and TFSSERVICE) I have logged with TFSSETUP before begining to install TFS. And im using TFSSERVICE account on TFS installation dialog. TFSSETUP is member of Administrators group, TFSSERVICE is not. ADAM can install without problem but in second step, when TFS install in progress,i have that error message at end of installation (nearly % 99).
I have create a active directory domain with DCPROMO after IIS installation. But some document recommand to create active directory domain before IIS installation. I am not sure , may be it can be cause of my problem. What is your comment about this?

Regards

Great to hear that this has worked for you.
Point is that I am not able to reinstall my server because it now already contains production data ..... (Yes we are using B2 for our development at this moment, and works great so far, just the datawarehouse is now broken ...)

Is there someone that could help me out with a solution or workaround that does not requires a reinstall?

Thanks,
Marcel
