MSF Practitioner Consulting

I work for a small IT services company in Washington, DC. We're considering adopting MSF and looking for guidance from a practitioner. We're ready the white papers, but we're not quite ready to take the plung and send someone to a $2,000 course. We might be interested in consulting with a certified MSF practitioner who could help us determine whether or not MSF is a good fit for our environment. Any suggestions on how I could locate area practitioners?

MSF Practitioner status does not exist anymore.
However for ramping up on MSFv4 here are good starting point for MSF downloads and papers available at http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/teamsystem/msf/
Certification for MSFv4 will be announced when VSTS certification and learing plans are announced at product launch time later this year.

Bindia,

I was under the impression the MSF Practitioner status is very much still in existance. Qualification of the being endorsed as an MSF Practitioner is passing exam 70-301. Could you please clarify this?

This exam covers MSF 3.0, not 4. It was a special exam, brought in to

replace the (very much harder and more rigorous oral exams of MSF 2.0).

The exam is pretty easy, especially if you take the training course

(1846). Thus far, this has not changed, although I am hopeful a new exam

along with new courses will be provided.
