dotnet Framework 2.0 Beta Version

When I install SQL2005, it installs dotnet 2.0.40607.42.

When I try to install Foundation Server, it tells me that an earlier version of dotnet is installed; uninstall it first.

When I do that, SQL fails to start. I then run the dotnet that comes with TFS, which is v2.0.50215.44.

SQL still fails (entry points not found), and TFS won't install as SQL is not started ...

Therefore, I appear to be in Catch-22 situation ... the versions of dotnet these 2 products require is different.

If I'm missing something obvious here, a swift kick would be much appreciated!
