Adding a Team Server

I have just completed an installation of Team Server Beta 2 and am trying to connect to it from VS 2005. I get an error that says I am unable to connect to the selected Team Foundation Server and gives a varity of reasons, none of which seem likely to me. Is there some magic I have missed here?

Ed, can we get a little more information from you.

? Do either of your machines (Middle-Tier or client) have the firewall turned on?
? Are both of your machines in the same domain?
? Are you using the same account to sign-in with that you used to install the server?

I am running with a single server configuration. The Firewall service is not enabled on the server. My server is in the same domain as the client I am trying to use. I am connected to my local workstation and am attempting to do the client connection with my own account rather than the account used during the setup. My account does have domain admin permissions. The error message I get when attempting to connect from VSTS is:

Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server: KPWAVSTS.
Team Foundation Server URL: http://KPWAVSTS:8080.

Possible reasons for failure include:
- The Team Foundation Server name, port number or protocol is incorrect.
- You don't have sufficient permissions to connect to this Team Foundation Server.
- The Team Foundation Server is offline.
- Password is expired or incorrect.

For further information, contact the Team Foundation Server administrator.
I also find this error in the Application Event Log:

EventType teamfoundationue, P1 1.0.0.0, P2 tfs, P3 v2.0.50215, P4 8.0.0.0, P5 elead, P6 7fdb7fd2, P7 499f38b1, P8 761ad54b, P9 NIL, P10 NIL.

I installed the client on the server just now and it is able to connect to the server OK when using the setup account. When I changed to my normal domain admin account I was unable to connect. The error says that I do not have sufficient permissions.

TF permissions:
Using your setup account, open DevEnv
Connect to the server
Right click the server and go "Team Foundation Server Settings" --> Groups...
Find the "Namespace Administrators" and add yourself to it

WSS permissions:
Quickest way is to add your account as admin to the box. If you don't want to do this, you need to go to your Sharepoint Central Administration and setup up the Sharepoint Administrator Group

Report Server
Quickest way is to add your account as admin to the box. If you don't want to do this, you need to add your self via http://localhost/Reports --> Settings and add a new role
