Possible CS Bug? - "Buy items cannot be included as the award" not set as specified
When testing discounts on the starter site, I noticed what *appears* to be a bug. In summary, I think the bug is this... The discount check box "Buy items cannot be included as the award" is not set correctly when you select Yes in the message box at the end of the Create New Discount Wizard. The message box says "The buy condition and the specified award in this discount refer to the same products. Do you want to apply the offer on both the buy and get products?". I think answering yes should result in an unchecked check box. Is this a correct assumption? If it is then in my case it does not work as expected. If my assumption is not correct, can anyone clear up my confusion :) ?
The type of discount I am attempting to configure is buy 2 from Tents and get the second 50% off. I can do it if I manually uncheck the box, but would like to know if this is me or CS going wrong.
Below is the setup and the steps to reproduce.
Setup:
-Single Virtual PC
-Windows 2003
-SQL 2005
-CS 2007
-Starter Site installed and fully working.
-No modifications bar...
--Set OrderDiscount sort of low high
--Turned on pipeline logging for basket.pcf
Steps:
-Open Marketing Manager
-Click Create New Discount
-Select Starter Site Customer
-Next
-Select Starter Site Campaign
-Next
-Set discount name to anything (e.g. test discount)
-Set basket display to anything (e.g. test discount)
-Next
-Select Paired Set Discount
-Next
-Set Products to Category
-Browse to Tents Category
-Set Quantity to 2
-Click Next
-Set Products to Category
-Browse to Tents Category
-Set Value Method to Percentage off
-Set Amount to 50
-Next
-Set Basket Limit to <unlimited>
-Set award limit to 1
-Next
-Next
-Next
-Press Create
-Say Yes to message box that says "The buy condition and the specified award in this discount refer to the
same products. Do you want to apply the offer on both the buy and get
products?"
-Exit to list of discounts.
-Right click discount just created and select Edit
-Switch to definition tab
-See that "Buy items cannot be included as the award" is checked!
