Hi All,
I have enterprise version software CD1 and CD2 of SQL server 2005
when i try to run setup.exe..the following error pops -up
The image file Setup.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine
MY OS version is windows 2003 32bit Operating system...
I am suspecting the binarie may be of 64bit.. How do we check the binaries are 32 bit and 64 bit software

I have similar error to the above when installing SQL2005 Etnerprise Edi 64 bits on the machine in Itanium 2 64 bit. Hence I am unable to install

NOTE: If I click Yes button or No Button, I am unable to proceed with the installation, I have used IE7 and also SP1 in Windows 2003 64 bit.
When I right click the setup.exe file, I can see the platform written as: NT AMD64, and my server is Itanium 2 64 bits. May I know is it the root cause for the error? Will there be vendor specific 64 bits SQL2005 Enterprise Edi?
