Im getting this message when trying to followup the step of running the ccf admin console from the mmc, refrence to page: 43 in the deployement guide of ccf 2005 .net 2.0:

admin console unable to connect to CCF Server the server does not exist or access is denied

the guide states as follows:

CCF 2005 .NET 2.0 Deployment Guide wrote:

CCF Settings

You may wish to adjust the general settings of CCF (available in the Options table of ContactCenter database) to suit the deployment environment. Follow the steps given below to do the same. Refer toAppendix – A for all available settings of CCF and their significance.

Machine: CCF client machine.

Login User: Member of CCFAdmins group.

1. Click Start -> Run. Type inmmc.

2. Click File -> Add/Remove Snap-in.

3. Click Add and select CCF Admin Console and click Add.

4. If the Connect to… dialog box is displayed, enter the machine name of the IIS server i.e.,<IISSvr>, and click Connect. This dialog box appears only the first time that Admin console snap in is added.

5. Click Close.

6. Click OK in Add/Remove Snap-in window.

7. Under the CCF Admin console node, expand the<IISSvr> node.

8. Expand the Settings node under the<IISSvr> node.

9. Select the General Settings node. The settings can then be seen and modified.

10. Select Phones under Settings and in the right hand pane, change the client machine name as applicable.

I got that error while trying step 4.

notes:

  • that I have followed up the instructions carefully from the deployment guide.
  • im doing all the installations on a single server.

Did you run the SetSpn commands to configure the CCFIIS name on the local machine?

SetSpn is a command used to authorize another name to a machine running in an Active Directory environment.
It is used when setting up CCF on a standalone server when you are using Active Directory.
more information on it can be found
here
How to use it is covered in the Deployment Guide that is included in the CCF package.
