I wanted to change my display name to Ralph. This system tells me this name would be invalid or alredy in use. I searched the members page and did not find any ralph. What am I doing wrong?
Yes, I tried changing my name to Ralph as well just to test and got the same error. Then I tried changing my name from "Vikram" to "Vikram S" and it worked fine and then I reverted back.
It looks like some issue with this specific name and the change functionality is working. The Find User on the ForumMembers page also does not return any matches for Ralph.
Try providing your full name and changing and in the meantime I guess the Forum folks need to figure out what's the issue with the specific name.

renamed to Ralph G . But now some posts are by gerbigr and the new are by Ralph. I think I found a bug *gggg*
On a side note--you should probably avoid changing your user name on the forums. You are building a reputation with that name in the community--people begin to know who you are through the user name you provide. If you change it, you might lose all of the "goodwill" you might have built through that name.
