Populating a report table

The report wizard makes it easy to put some all of your fields into a table, but once you are out of the wizard you can only add one field at a time, or so it seems. Is this true or are there some short cuts that will allow you to add multiple fields at a time. On the same note, can you add more than one column at a time to a table?
