SQK2K - Linked server security.

We are trying to link an SQL2K server (Running in mixed mode) to an SQL2K Server (Running in Windows only mode).

In the properties I have tried putting (in Local server to Remote server mappings on the security page)my owndm\JohnDoe todm\JohnDoe as both servers are in the same domain. In Enterprise Manager I can view all databases using my windows authentication - I have checked the Registration properties and both are set to Windows Authentication..

We get the error'Error 18456: Login Failed for user 'NT Authority\Anonymous Logon'.

Please could anybody help with the setting up of this, we are running out of time.

Regards
John.

Can you please provide more details of your setup?

1. The linked server settings that are used in the setup. If the linked server was created using a script, can you provide it?
2. The sql statement that is causing the issue
3. The local login that is used when executing the script

Thanks,
Rakesh

I am doing it in Enterprise manager: Security\Linked Server\servername

When you go into properties of the servername their is a security page.
