I read that Microsoft has acquired a company named Messagecast that let send "alerts" to MSN Messenger user. I know that it's possible to send free alerts with the tools for bloggers, but I would like to know how to use a commercial version for other business applications (does it exists in other languages?).

Yes, anyone (blogger of business) with content published via RSS can sign-up to publish that content via Alerts (endpoints as IM, e-mail or mobile based on the users preference/presence) for free.
To get started go to http://signup.alerts.msn.com and fill out the form, provide a single RSS feed, and accept the TOU. After setting up your 1st feed, you can do the following if you contact MSN:
- add additional feeds
- change the language of the signup screens
- modify the graphical elements of the sign-up pages
- modify the graphical elements on the toast
