Project Hierachy

Ok, we are running beta, just a few test projects, nothing especial. But, what when this goes to production environment? We'll be probably talking about hundreds, thousands of projects. This is going to be hard task to mantain them all together without support of a some kind of hierarchy, don't you think? It would be great if we could organize our projects in structures like Company Areas, Customers, etc.

Max

I agree that would be a very valuable ability. Unfortunately we don't support that right now. A couple of thoughts though:

Make sure your Team Projects have the right granularity. Our team projects contain dozens of VS solutions and hundreds of VS projects each.

You can use a naming pattern to organize your projects somewhat. The Team Explorer allows each user to select and display the subset of projects they use the most.

I hope this will help.
