? VS2005 RTM + Team System Beta 3 = OK ?

Ok, so we've got the VS2005 RTM on MSDN Subscriptions now - Yippee!
But:
What about Team System? Can we use the existing Team System Beta 3 with VS2005 RTM?
I know there was talk of a "Team System Beta 3 Refresh". Will us Team System users need to wait a while before installing VS2005 RTM? Or can we go ahead and install it, and Team System will continue to work with it just as before?
[EDIT]
I see that the Visual Studio 2005 Team Edition contains Team Foundation Server - so I guess I just need to install that. I think I'd better finish downloading it and see what the FAQ has to say before asking any more questions...

I'm still downloading the 2.7 GB DVD Sad

Personally I would wait for the TFS Refresh since that's the official word from Microsoft. However since you have RTM already, I say go for it and let us know. Big Smile

Yeah, me too (still downloading).
I think the readme may have something to say (hopefully) so I'll wait until I've read that. :)
Yeah, and the other thing is it doesn't seem obvious if the Team Edition includes all the compilers. I'm assuming it does, but... maybe I need to download VS2005 Professional too...

I didnot see VS2K5 team edition..

VSTeamSystem contains two parts (as i know),
TeamSuit and TeamFoundationServer(TFS),
TeamSuit should release with VS2k5 (1107) and had been in RC,
TFS still in beta3.

TeamSuit contains 3 parts,

VS2K5 TeamEdition
for Software Architects, for Software Developers, for Software Tesers,

and MSDN universal should select 1 of them...

have you transistion your msdn subscription?
(or you are not downloading from msdn subscritpion?)

what's TeamEdition you guys have seen?
softeware develeopers should be superset of professional (i thinak),
and will contain all compilers. (I'v installed teamsuit beta3, no professinal needed)

and there should be TeamFoundtionServer beta3 refresh, not TeamSystem beta3.. as I know..

I have transitioned my subscription, but I don't know if it's effective yet...
The only VS2005 downloads currently on MSDN Subscriber downloads for me are:
* Visio for Enterprise Architects
* Visual Studio 2005 Professional
* Visual Studio Team Edition for Software Developers
* Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the Microsoft Office System
The only 2005 Server I can see is SQL Server 2005 Developer Edition.
I'm wondering if those are sufficient. Where is SQL Server 2005 full edition? Can anyone else see that?

Matthew, I see the same downloads that you listed above. I just transitioned my subscription as well today, but I think it takes up to 48 hours to go through.

I've found out from various blogs and other posts that (a) VSTF Beta 3 Refresh is out Real Soon Now, (b) SQL Server 2005 is also out Real Soon Now and (c) I should wait for both of those. Wink

At this time, Visual Studio 2005 Team Foundation Server Beta 3 Refresh is the appropriate version of Team Foundation Server to use with the Visual Studio 2005 RTM release.
