Virtual Earth and Safari
Hello,
How come Virtual Earth does not work with Safari, is this going to be supported in V5/soon?
How is everyone else handling this problem?
Cheers
Ben

Apple does not comply with W3C standards.
Do you mean that Microsoft does? A quick search on a search engine will show the frustration of webdevelopers who attempt to write valid w3c and cross browser code and most of their problems occur when testing on IE.
Take the Acid2 test on Safari and Internet Explorer and any other browser you wish and see which one gives you the best results.
There's screenshots lying arond the web of different browsers too.
It's pointless to start another discussion on which is the best browser and which one sucks, there will always be a lot of bias, and I don't think this discussion is the place to do it, but I find it abnoxious that the reason for not working towards a fully cross browser application is such a lazy excuse. Apple's Safari is definitely more w3c compliant than IE - it's seems like standards for you mean "Microsoft's way or the highway"...
Hi,
This was an old response when I had asked Microsoft a while back and I believe Safari support is coming out in the next VE 6.0 release. Hopefully we can hear an official statement from Microsoft soon on this.
