Rendering problems of the gadgets (mainly the height)
About the ccs problems, the problems rendering the height of the
gadgets in Live Spaces. Maybe is not just that the problem...
I have noticed that if I right click the gadget and I refresh the
start.com service which starts the gadget, the gadget is rendered
always in the right way. This happens with any gadget...
So probably it is a problem of the page loading event or of the
start.com service processing all the requests.
ciao
Thank u RodCet, for the link too. I personally use iframe with its src pointing to a webpage.
All the people of interest: u can directly try my space (the url is in my profile) to test the problem/the solution. The impressive thing is that it seems that I just reload the url pointing to start.com with the gadget parameters..in the gadget *webpart*.. to get the gadget rendered well.
Hope this helps.
I go to post a link to this thread in the the other thread.
The only gadget I seen not rendered correctly on your screen where it cuts it off is the metrowebcam gadget.
I think this might be the one your talking about. Since it's an iframe, you're pretty much stuck with keeping it to a vertical max height of 250px. If you go beyond that it will randomly size right some of the time, but not all of the time. I came across the same issue before, and shrinking the size was my only resolution.
I posted about the same condition before.. here.. .

Based on what I'm seeing, you can turn it into a javascript gadget and call a webservice.
If you check out my profile.. http://webgensol.spaces.live.com/ the top left gadget is webservice/javascript and the one underneath it uses an i-frame that I had to keep under 250px. (Which I plan on rewriting.)
Thank u RodCet, but I really wonder about the solution now. I'm not interested much to talk about where is the problem in my space.. all my gadget are affected by it.

Some of them are still cut off on my browser. I think it has to do with what's cashed on your PC and if the images load before the resize command is called in the gadgets..
This issue is probably the most frustrating thing with third party gadgets and should be the first thing in MS agenda to correct.
Yess, sorry - you are right, it is still present.
The agenda of MS seems much long.. :-P
