upgrade to 2007 fails when I have custom area using Customizing Portal Areas Using Templates
I have a system that is running SharePoint 2003 Server that I have custom area defs usinghttp://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms916803.aspx#odc_spscustomizingsharepointsites2_customizingportalareasusingtemplates
When I upgrade to 2007, the areas(sites in 2007) are all on the first tier of the site structure and I'm unable to see the area(site in 2007) when I navigate to it. On the second attempt of upgrade, I modified the files in the UPGRADE directory after I choose gradual upgrade path and with some luck, I was able to see the areas(sites in 2007) that does not fall under the category of C1, C2, C3... When I do click on C1, C2, and so on, I was unable to navigate to them. Has anyone else run into this problem? I have followed the WSS Sites and Templates Upgrade Toolkit from Microsoft for the WSS sites but I was unable to find anything regarding the 2003 Area upgrade.
