Tree Differences + Compare to Local Directory + Message: "There is no working folder mappin

Hello,

I would like to compare folder of TFS project ($/Proj1/Dir1/Dir2) to local folder with the same structure of files for example to:C:\proj1\Dir1\Dir2(this folder in not connected with TFS).
When I selectCompare... item from context menu ofSource Control Explorer, choose Compare to folder (Local path...) and press OK button i get message: "There is no working folder mapping for: C:\proj1\Dir1\Dir2".

My question: is it posibble to compre TFS folder to local folder likes that?

Thanks for help.

Michal,

Sorry! This is due to a bug in the powertool folder difference. The command line version "tfpt treediff" also exhibits the same behavior. The bug has been fixed in the productized version but I am not sure when we can roll the fix back into the powertools version.

The Visual Studio Orcas March 2007 CTP has been released. In this release, a new version of "TreeDiff" called Folder Difference is included. Download the CTP.

You can also see a few screenshots of Folder Difference at my blog post.
