Contest - third category?

At http://worldsbestapp.com/Rules.aspx I read about Cross-Category prizes. I thought there were only 2 categories: one for games and one for non game entries. What's this Cross-Category stuff exactly about? I suppose it's a third category, but what applications qualify for this category?

Sure, at the end of the contest we pick the grand prize winner, the very best app across both categories (game and non-game) based on our judging criteria. The grand prize is the Alienware laptop + alien armor case + Visual Studio 2005. After picking the grand prize winner, then there is 1 1st prize per category, 5 2nd prizes per category, and 25 3rd prizes.

Each person is eligible to win 1 prize, however you can submit multiple entries (as long as their different) to boost your chances of winning the best prize possible.
