Opera will not be part of our next CTP but this is something we will support if we receive sufficient customer feedback.

I can see Opera becoming more and more popular since it's now available on consoles such as the Wii. Currently Opera supports Flash on the Wii and it would definitely be nice to write WPF/E apps that would run on the TV as well in the future.

Obviously, Wii and other consoles or devices that aren't Microsoft (i.e. XBox 360) probably aren't a priority, but showing cool WPF/E apps while I'm browsing the Web with Opera on my kid's Wii would be cool and something that the less technical person would probably do a lot I suspect.

I would really love to see Opera support! When can you tell us your decision?

Another vote for Opera Support... On my desktop, and my Wii. Flash works.

If Yahoo can write ajax and other front-end code to support non-ie browsers and release their code for the world to use (http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/articles/gbs/)... why can't Microsoft in Asp.Net Ajax and now Silverlight?

By the way... these forums don't work in Opera or Firefox... that's ironic in a forum asking for people to sound off about support for other browsers.

I couldn't agree more with EDF. how come these forums don't work in opera? When i was active in asp.net ajax and hang around those forums, I could do it with opera. here it simply doesn't work...very frustrating...

I'd love to see Opera supported by Silverlight as it is my main browser except for ASP.NET development.
