Support for WMV HD ?
From the WPF/E FAQ:
"Will "WPF/E" support HD (720p+) quality?
HD quality is within the range of platform capabilities. As with other platforms, it will be dependent upon CPU capabilities."
I'm not sure how to understand the answer. Yes with an expected CTP release date would have be great ;-).
I'm looking for solution to implement a video player with interactive content. I've been using Flash until now, but I'm actively looking for solution to replace the expensive FLV codecs. Having support for WMV HD 720/1080 will be a major advantage for WPF/E.
As for now (CTP Feb07), the WMV 720p does not seems to work (tested with Robotica_720 and The_Living_Sea_720.)
I can understand that mixing live video with 2D/3D content on multiple platforms is quite a challenge.
