Reassigning new application server the Office SharePoint Search Service

Can’t seem to find out how to reassign the Search service to a different application server. From the Farm Topology we part I can select the new app server but all options are grayed out. Any help would be appreciated

Did you intsall the server as Coomplete or Web Front End Only. If you don't have a complete installation you cannot enable the search or index functions.
