Question goes to AddIn team guys: what's the most disadvantages that's without host/addin view

I read your article about Pipeline architecture, here's sth I am not quite sure.

When I design an architecture for extensibility, for purpose of simplicity, I prefer to design it just with host, contract and add-in, without any views. At this point, what's the most disadvantage for this design?

I'm not quite clear about what's presented in the article.
