Live ID Federation
Please provide some information on the forthcoming support for WS-Federation.
I am in the process of "claims-enabling" my applications using Active Directory Federation Services. I intend to integrate Live as an account partner in addition to at least one other partner. I want to get a sense of:
- the type of claims that the Live ID security token will contain
- the best practices for refactoring the roles system in the subject applications
- the relationship between Live ID, accounts.live.com, and my applications (if any)
- programmatic functionality such as ACL management (as seen in Spaces authorization UI)
- account creation functionality - streamlining Live account creation as part of overall application provisioning, migration, etc
- potential support for WS-Federation Active Client Profile. Will Live ID support it, and thus impersonation, for such scenarios as programmatic posting of listings to Live Expo.
I know my question goes beyond WS-Federation but let's start there. Thanks so much for the information!
