install VC++6.0 and Visio2002, environment variaties changes cost VC++ crush, when opening files

Hi, sorry I dont know where I should ask about this, so i simply put it here and hope for a answer...

things are that I installed visio2002 in my winxp system, and after that I installed vc++6. Problem comes as I cannot open files in VC++, because it will crush the program. I think it may because the two applications changes windows startup environment variaties one after another, but after exchanging install order, the VC++ still crushes.

can these programs be installed on the same computer and both running properly?

where should i adjust to make them both work?

Does it works if you only install VC6?
