Multiple NIC Card Issues
I have Dell Power Edge 2650 with two NIC Cards. this server is also a DC with DNS and AD on it (10.167.176.XX IP). It also has IIS Installed on it and a default website is running on it . i found that only one NIC was enabled and site was working fine. i wanted to connect this machine to another domain for backup purpose so i enabled another NIC and connect it to the switch of completely different domain (172.16.2.xx IP Network). since i have done that site is going down again and again. I checked the IP Address on website was assigned in the IIS Website configuration, i also checked that router was forwarding the port to that ip address but still it was going down and coming back up.
i finally disabled the 2nd NIC and its not going down any more. i dont see any thing in the log but can't i keep one nic for one domain communication and another one for the another domain communication? let me know pls.
