I have a user with a personal view which has a web part that can neither be removed or the displayed changed its' really weird.
We can add, hide or remove it, all the options have gone as if there is some kind of corruption but I can't see anything in the code or on the site that is wring.
Has anyone else come accross this behaviour before or know of a KB aticle that may help or point me in the right direction.

This sounds like the same problem I am having. Do you have this error when the user goes to the private view page? I didn't add the stack trace, it just refers to a custom webpart that a consultant created, obviously it doesn't work. I don't know how to remove it from the private view either.
