How to make the migration from Sharepoint 2001 to 2007

Hi,

My company has an old sharepoint system, sharepoint 2001, and there are so many documents in it, now, we have a new sharepoint system 2007, so we need migrate all documents to the new system, but it's really a hard work, because each document has many properties, so I want to know if there is an easy way to migrate all documents and their properties to the new system.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.
