I've got several large Lob Systems mapped into the BDC, and have been using them and searching them successfully, until I realized a problem today, and I can't seem to find documentation about it.

I have fields in my entity of type DateTime, but when I go to create a managed property and map the crawled property from this field, the field is showing up as type 'Text', not 'DateTime'.

This keeps me from being able to search on the managed property as I would like, and also these crawled properties with incorrect data types don't appear to actually contain crawled data.

Is this a known issue? Is there some way around it?
