Hi, I am looking for information on how to create a custom file plan and deal with it. Also, I need to look at custom audit report and file submission.
Can some one help me by giving links/pointers or by describing the approach?

Without knowing what your business situation is, I can't be specific. For an example of a complex methodology for developing a classification system, Australian Archives recommend this approach http://www.naa.gov.au/recordkeeping/dirks/summary.html . However there are other alternative approaches, much depends on your business and legal environment, and the type of information being managed. Useful terms for searching include "functional classification" "restricted vocabularies" "classification schema" "faceted classification" In many ways database systems all use faceted classification.
