Dell DRAC Card architecture -(Public or Priviate IP space)

General quetion about assigning IP's to DRAC cards or even HP ILO, should they be Private IP or Public IP's. I know some of the general reasons why they should be Private, such as security, lower overhead and not needing ACL's and so forth. But what would be an advantage to having Public IP's assigned?
