form upload: status = installing
Hello
I created a very basic infopath form template in visual studio: a line of text and a textbox. I published and uploaded it according to these walkthroughs:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb250997.aspx
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms772405.aspx
When i want to activate the form, i get an error, because the status doesn't change from "installing". It just keeps this status, after some time, it changes to "failed to upload".
Has anyone had similar problems?
Thx,
J
John, just uncheck the "Automatically Adjust Clock for Daylight Savings Changes" on the Windows "Date and Time Properties", and the newly published and uploaded template status goes to Ready
Thanks for you answer, Daniel, but the problem still persists.
I tried now to follow the instructions from
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointserver/HA102050471033.aspx?pid=CH102066971033
Here it says just to save the template in infopath 2007. When uploading it then, i get this error:
This form template has not been correctly published to be browser-enabled. Open the form template in InfoPath Design mode, and click Publish Form Template in the Design Tasks task pane. Follow the steps in the Publishing Wizard to republish the form template, and then try again.
So i publish the form again (with administrator approval). After this, i come back into my previous situation: status = installing and then status = failed to upload.
I had this problem as well... finally the reason was, that there were more servers in the farm and it was trying to deploy the template to each of them, but some of them were not active, so operation stucked. Good thing is to check timer job definition for deploying that solution.
