Access denied when turning on crawling schedule

Hi all,

I have a very specific problem in my MOSS 2007 farm. Everything works fine, but I cannot configure crawling schedules for my content sources in SSP. I use my domain admin account (it's also added as a site collection admin in the SSP admin site). When I go to a content source in SSP admin site, click Create Schedule and then configure the schedule in the Manage Schedule window. But when I click OK to save it, it gives me an Access Denied exception:

Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

In the diagnostic trace log the following enties are appended:

02/07/2007 05:56:50.16 w3wp.exe (0x0B5C) 0x0E48 Search Server Common MS Search Administration 86zc High Exception caught in Search Admin web-service proxy (client). At the same time I'm able to start crawling manually.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Alex

I'm facing exactly the same issue

I'm able to call the web service from my browser with the same domain user account, unfortunately I'm not able to know what function is called.

help on that issue would be greatly appreciated
