Want to start sideshow development having a few issues....

Hi

I'm looking to develop some applications for windows sideshow however I am having severe issues getting my development environment up and running.

I visited the micrsoft linkhttp://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=06fa2ace-a42d-4117-821c-bce80786f1c4&DisplayLang=en in an attempt to download the Sideshow .NET components but every time I click the validate button IE7 freezes.

I didn't have this much trouble with xaml or mcml.Sad I need help getting this stuff working. Ideally I need a step-by-step installation guide.

I just tried downloading it myself using the link you pasted in above. At first I thought I hit the same problem that you did, IE 7 appeared to freeze once I clicked on the bar to run the validation active-x control. However, after a minute or two IE came back alive and I was able to download the SideShow managed API.
