Visual Web Developer Express and Frontpage 2003 working together?

I'm builiding and application in VWDE with parts of the app fairly complex sets of .htm web pages for which I'd like to use Frontpage (because Frontpage manages links). I need to extend AspNet security to the .htm pages. For this reason I'm considering the Frontpage part a subdirectory of the VWDE part.

Is this going to work? Does anyone know anything I should look out for? A better way?

Thanks
John

Hi!

Thanks for asking! I'm a member of the ASP.NET team, and was just popping over here to see what was going on. The best place to ask ASP.NET questions is over on the ASP.NET forums at http://www.asp.net/welcome.aspx?tabindex=1&tabid=39

The short answer to your question that yes that should work.

Thanks Pete.

I'm not sure what Frontpage gives a VWD Express user apart from "dangling URL" protection. I'm already noticing the problem with VWD - I make a few changes to where files are, and the whole application falls apart. I wonder whether its something MS might want to look at as a way of improving an already excellent product (vwd) ?
