Registering Express Edition on 2 Computers

Hi.

I installed the Express Editions at work. I then went to each product's Help menu, and clicked the "Register Product..." item. I logged in with my Passport, verified my information, and received a Product Key that I pasted into the Registration Form.

Sometime later, I installed the Express Editions on my PC at home. I also went to each product's Help menu and clicked the "Register Product..." item. From home, I logged in with my Passport, but instead of being taken to a Product Key that I could enter on the Registration Form, I was taken directly to the page that thanks everyone for registering.

I am NOT using the same .IMG file.

How do I register these Express Editions on my home PC? I'd rather have these on my home PC than my work PC. If work needs me to use it, they can fork over the cash and buy it. The only reason I installed in on my PC at work was so that I could make sure it ran ok before I put it on my home PC.

Note: I DO still have Visual Studio 2003 Enterprise Architect on my home PC. Could this product be validating my Express Editions without the need for a key?

Kind Regards,

One way to get around it is to download the CD ISO's from Microsoft as these packages do not require registration.

Glenn,

I think that is it! For my home PC, I used the CD images that I downloaded. At work, I installed from Microsoft's installer.

Thanks! That answered my question. Case closed.

I never said they didn't work. I said I wasn't able to get the registration numbers.

Besides, I also said earler that Glenn Wilson answered my question. I installed from the CD images, and they don't require a registration number.
