Cannot get Alerts to function
I've looked at several past posts on this topic (including
http://forums.microsoft.com/msdn/showpost.aspx?postid=9206&siteid=1) but Alerts still is not functioning for me.
I'm signed in, and I've gone to the alerts sign-up page at:http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/ProductFeedback/AlertsSignUp.aspx. When I click ok, a small line of text appears at the bottom of the page that says "Already Subscribed"
So, I clicked "Change Microsoft Alerts delivery" and I am taken tohttp://alerts.msn.com/Alerts/SignUpAlerts.aspx which shows on the "Add Alerts" tab. It will not allow me to navigate to any other tab on the page, when I try it just comes back to the "Add Alerts" tab. So, I find MSDN and click on it under add alerts and I am right back where I began athttp://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/ProductFeedback/AlertsSignUp.aspx.
If I go through MSN Messenger to try to view my Alert History, it then shows as if I need to sign-up, thus taking me back into the endless loop described above.
What am I doing wrong here?
Also, if I have "Alert Me" checked on a post that I make, it takes me to an Alert Page with the "Microsoft Forums Alerts" checked and disabled. If I click Ok it just stays on this page. My only option is to click on Cancel.
Thanks.

I attempted to change my delivery settings, and I got an error as well. I forwarded this to the forums team, who are looking into the problem and should report back here. Thanks for letting us know!
Hi Mark:
I am the product manager for the Forums. I will stop by our devs office this morning and investigate this with him. I will post further information on this thread.
Thanks

Mark:
I am unable to reproduce this error. I am able to click the "alert me" check box when I make a post. I can also go to "My Threads" and change the delivery location.
Are you able to click on "My Threads" and change the delivery location? Let me know. I can continue to look into this for you.
Thanks
Jana
The text on the bottom of the subscriptions tab says "You have not completed the subscription to MSN alerts. Please complete the subscription process in order to receive notifications.". When I click Change Microsoft Alerts Delivery Settings on the Subscriptions tab of My Threads it sends me to http://alerts.msn.com/Alerts/SignUpAlerts.aspx, which puts me in the endless loop described above. It is like it thinks I am not subscribed for alerts, but then when I go to try to subscribe it thinks that I already am subscribed. Very strange. How can I get out of this loop? Is there anything that you can do on your end to reset my alerts so that I can start from scratch?
Not sure if this helps or not, but I decided to see if I could get one of the other MS alerts to work. I was trying to sign up for MSNBC alerts and received the following error:

I think I have solved the issue on my end. It appears each different alert service must have been programmed separately, as when I went to sign up for Money Alerts as a test, it allowed me to get through and setup the alerts. I think that reset my account settings behind the scenes and I can now setup alerts on MSDN.
So, it appears that the answer here is to try a few of the other alert services and try to get one working. Once it is working then come back and try to setup MSDN alerts.
Thanks for those that tried to help me.
