internet explorer 6 prefetching webpages?

hi all,

I didn't know where tu best put this question, so I just chose this forum. I'm currentlt recognizing some strange network traffic caused by internet explorer. ie seems to request certain websites that are linked on a site I'm currently developing. The problem is that the user mustn't visit a certain page under certain conditions and usually can't, but internet explorer requests it arbitrarily.
So, the simple question just is: does ie do any prefetching of linked pages?
thanks for help,
Marco

Hi Marco,

Here's some information from our support team:

I think that IE does not have a pre-fetching feature for linked pages.

1. IE has a work offline feature, or you can make IE work offline, and it works locally.

2. If you develop a windows application, you can try to write a personal web server yourselves. And download the data from the web server. And the customer can access the local web server, even it can not connect to the remote server.
