Dual Monitors

Can Vista handle having Dual Monitors having each monitor displaying its own Desktop Image?

Each image being different ;) Like on the MAC

I am not aware of any plans to do this. (That doesn't mean it isn't happening; it just means that I can't prove that it is.)

You can do this now with any version of Windows. Create a wallpaper image large enough to cover the entire desktop area and set the wallpaper position to "Tile".

Windows does lack a UI for this and many other things related to multiple monitors. The shareware program UltraMon has support for this and other things like a taskbar for each monitor. My own free program Random Background (includes source code) supports using a different background for each monitor.
