If you're talking about alpha-transparency, that's been around since Windows 2000 (see "layered windows"). If you're talking about "glass", then you'll want to check out Jeff Pettiross's talk at the PDC (PRS319). You can download the slides here,

There's also Vista Transformation Pack.It includes Glass2k(gives transparency to every window or program you like)

It's downloadable here: http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/OS-Enhancements/Vista-Transformation-Pack.shtml

yes windows vista includes transparency, but glas2k makes the whole window transparent, does anyone have vista tht could somehow get a .exe file nd all the .dll for the transparency?

i would also like to have tht vista toolbar thing transparency

thx, if anyone does this, its only a idea, i'm only 10 yrs old by the way

p.s u could use the task manager and use proseses tab and look around there for something tht when u click stop proseses it gets rid of transparency, search for tht .exe, locate it

run it on another computer without vista (recomend xp)

it will probly ask for a .dll find tht dll on vista and on the xp computer put it in the same directory, try runing it again and it may ask for another .dll. so find it on vista and transfer it to the xp computer put it in the same directory as the over files, make sure not to delete the files of the vista computer

if i have spellt anything wrong try to work around it and u'll figer it out but remember i'm ten and I DON'T HAVE VISTA

SO I CANT DO IT FOR MYSELF, OK!

if u want vista remove the KBP****** and the programs wont work or leave it on and u wont have vista, but im sure that it shouldnt stop some programs from working i would carry on and install vista transformation pack

dont download vista transformation pack for XP because it wrecks ur pooter. even if u uninstall it. it leaves icons the same and changed fonts and all wierd stuff and the round vista start menu is over the top of my XP one now..
