Computer doesn't respond

Hello,

I just started with learning according to the simulation tutorials. However, while following the instructions of running "SimulationTutorial1", the computer doesn't respond so I must close the simulation application.

I have a 2.4G pentium + 1G of Ram + Gforce4 card.

Any idea?

Thanks.

So, it is the graphics card eventually. What card do you have/recommend?
P.S.

It's definitely not the card drivers because I just installed the newest NVIDIA drivers and restarted the computer.

A list of supported cards (or cards people have tried) are available in our wiki.

And of course when someone buys a card, he must check that it is compatible with the computer's motherboard.

For example, the computer I have here at the lab is a little bit old (bought it 3 years ago) so I need an AGPx8 port.

At home I have an even older computer (bought it 5 years ago) (that's a great computer) - HP VL800 (AGPx4).
