Sounds like a great opportunity!
Great!
Right after the moment I read your post I started coding.
I already was one of the winners from the Weekend Madness, but I'm going to participate in the bonus round also. I hope that isn't a problem. I like making bots :)
Good luck everybody!
The only issue with taking part in "the bonus round" if you took part or won something in "weekend madness" is that your robot needs to different than what you previously submitted. That doesn't mean you can't ... just that your robot needs to be different!

Pfew, after a long night of work I submitted the "Search Bunny" bot, which uses the Search SDK and the activity window for viewing results. The nice thing about the bot is that it will let you search and view different results without using your mouse, just by giving commands in your messenger. This can be handy I think, because it's faster than opening a dozen windows with your mouse and closing them etc.
Totally different than the Helpdeskbot for the weekend madness :)
More bots are coming!

Nooo why now? Just now I'm away the weekend... But luckily enough I've got my bot (which already has a very nice use of activity's and other live services) almost ready...
Todd, you surprise us every day, and I'm really looking forward to see more of these great bots. They are beginning to scare me, because there are so many good bots out there, I'm getting afraid I will not win a price anymore!

Keep up the good work (and the prizes of course) because I'm sure prizes can make people make really usefull and "intelligent" bots

Just read this post, but I think I missed the 11am deadline, not sure though. Regsitered yesterday about 5pm GMT.
Still waiting for the bot to be reviewed, haven't heard back yet.

The "search bunny" bot is somehow very popular in Israel. It get loads of users from Isreal, probably because of this news item:
http://www.tipo.co.il/news.asp?nid=2560
Anyone who can translate that? I don't understand the language :)
It's fun to see so many users! Although the searching gets slow sometimes.
Any news on the contest yet?
Well time's up and there were 19 entries that were submitted during the "The Bonus Round" window. First the good news: the two $200 prize winners are:
Now the bad news ... out of the 19 applications that were submitted during "The Bonus Round" only 2 robots were online for testing and met the criteria spelled out in my original posting. So even though there were five prizes available, we could only award two
It looks like the most common issue is that the bots were offline, perhaps people had turned their PC's off?Congrats to the winners!
As always, if you have questions feel free to contact me and we'll be contacting the creators of the winning applications shortly.

I think the most common issue was the time that it takes to have an activity provisioned... The activity that I submitted at 31 August, is online today...
Congratulations to the 2 winners!
can I still win something if I submit one now =P
Anyone heard anything about getting their prizes yet?
Not even from the Weekend Maddness one...
But don't be afraid, I am sure Todd will make sure everything is ok. It may take a while, but in all the contests in the past people have got their prizes (althought it took a very long time).
I must apologize for the delay on these prizes. We were coordinating this across multiple groups and with an agency and clearly it just wasn't working that great.
I've contacted the two winners at the e-mail address they provided when they submitted their bot to confirm that those are the best addresses to send their prizes through to.
