WDS 3.01 Not Prime Time?
Am I missing something? I was using 2.65 and because of a OneNote 2007 installation was 'forced' to move to 3.01. I then lost all indexing in my encrypted folders but MSFT did not provide any warning to this prior to the install.
I then reverted to 2.66 and got everything working again, but decided to upgrade to Office 2007. I made the decision that maybe I should eliminate the encrypted folders so I could migrate to WDS 3.01. One of my poorer decisions it turned out to be. When I did I noticed that 3.01 was not indexing PDFs or zip files so I downloaded the ifilters for both, but that did not help. What gives?
I am now back to 2.66.
Microsoft - why would you introduce technology that has actually regressed in functionality from prior versions? Or, am I missing something?
